Luis and I are putting the final tweaks on La Casa Rojas – the magazine - due to launch for REAL today.
If you’ve taken a look at our ’sneak peek’ version, you’ve seen the idea! When you are able to view the ‘real deal’ today, you’ll notice immediately that the presentation is more dynamic and that you can sort through the articles easily by Author, Category, Country, “en está edition”, Archive or if you really want to split hairs, there is the ”Search” field option.
The majority of the articles have full audio files which are downloadable and of course each article is formatted to be printed with ease. Do remember that your comments following the articles are important to both you and our authors! To you, because it is your opportunity to interact with the authors! To the authors, because though they have lists of things lined-up to write about, it is always helpful to know what you´d like to know.
Be sure to leave questions and comments for Luis under the Category ”Cosas Lingüísticas” regarding idiomatic questions that occur to you while you are reading the articles. Luis will respond to these in his column by the same name. Which reminds me….if you have difficulty with just a word here or there, use the dictionary conveniently located on the site….if you need more help than that…no problem, we had you in mind when we installed the page translator. There is no excuse to not fully enjoy and learn tons about the countries that interest you.
This magazine is great for you if you are a;
Traveler – whether you know Spanish or not. The translator tool will give you access to all that inside info you want to know before you hop on that plane. And you will become familiar with the accent and cadence of the Spanish of that region. This can go a long way to your being able to understand the answers to your questions!!!!
Spanish Student – regardless of your level of Spanish – again the dictionary and translator tool will help you out as you push to improve your skills through the magazine. This magazine will expose you to Spanish the way it is really spoken in the region. Believe me, you need this to become fluent and since Luis is here to answer your idiomatic questions you can really make some strides in your abilities.
Spanish Professor - looking for curriculum ideas, support and options. La Casa Rojas – the magazine, is rich with cultural information, linguistic details in action and of course there is the all critical ”music” of the language….what a wonderful way to practice vocal fluency…. ask your students to download the audios and practise their pronunciation with them. This program is licensed for individual use…. however, just call us if you’d like to hear about our discounts for Multi-use Licenses which will allow you to use our program in your classrooms.
So keep an eye out for the final launch announcement we expect to make today, the 15th and we will see you on the inside! Nos vemos, Joan
